Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Plan
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention (DHAP) provided guidance for the development of the second iteration of the Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Plan (The Plan), including the Statewide Coordinated Statement of Need (SCSN), a legislative requirement for Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Part A and B Grantees. This guidance is set forth for health departments and HIV planning groups funded by DHAP and HAB for the development of an Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Plan. This guidance allows jurisdictions to submit one Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Plan to CDC and HRSA covering calendar years 2022 - 2026. Submission of the Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Plan will meet the legislative and programmatic planning requirements of CDC and HRSA. Per the guidance, New York State, New York City and Long Island developed one Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Plan for 2022- 2026. The development of the Integrated the Plan was a joint effort between jurisdictions and planning bodies that engaged persons at higher risk for HIV infection, people living with HIV (PLWH), service delivery providers, and other community stakeholders.
