#20552 AIHP - American Indian Health Program

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health (DOH) is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible.

The New York State Office of the State Comptroller’s Bureau of Contracts on 09/3/2024 approved for the New York State (NYS) Department of Health, Dental Care for Native American Funding which was awarded to all New York State recognized Nations and Nation designated contractors currently holding contracts with the DOH. Funds will be divided equally amongst Tribal Nations responsible for providing dental services/access to services to community members. Funds will allow for the expansion of services/hours of operation; ensure patient access to dental services; support appropriate dental related operational and administrative needs. Services will be provided on Sovereign Nation territory.

Due to the specific circumstances of this procurement and the unique qualifications of the selected firms/entities, a competitive procurement was not feasible in this instance.
