#20626 Transgender Health Care Services 7-month Contract Extensions

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law §163.10(b), the New York State Department of (DOH) is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible.

Description: The New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute intends to extend four (4) Transgender Health Care Services contracts for a 7-month period from 12/1/24 to 6/30/25 for a total amount of $466,668.

The Transgender Health Care Services contracts prioritize Black, Indigenous and People of Color communities for engagement and are designed to meet the complex medical management and unique mental health and supportive services needs of transgender, gender non-conforming and non-binary (TGNC) individuals living with or at risk for HIV.

Due to the specific circumstances of this procurement and the unique qualifications of the selected firms/entities, a competitive procurement was not feasible in this instance.
