CRER #20670 Single Source Procurement: Sex Worker Health Pilot Program
Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health Sex Worker Health Pilot Program has determined to award a Single Source Procurement to two grantees.
The New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute intends to extend contracts with EHS, Inc. and Community Health Project (Callen Lorde) to continue a pilot program providing sex workers with primary health care, sexual and behavioral health care and dental care in New York City (NYC) and Western New York. Additional time is needed to evaluate the program.
Due to the specific circumstances of this procurement and the unique qualifications of the selected firm/entity, a competitive procurement was not feasible in this instance.
