CRER # 20795 Eliminating Hepatitis C by Improving Access to Hepatitis C Care and Treatment
Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health Aids Institute is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health Aids Institute has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to 11 grantees/vendors to support ongoing currently funded projects.
These programs provide hepatitis C outreach, testing, care coordination, peer delivered services, treatment, and cure. These services are essential to supporting New York State’s goal of eliminating hepatitis C by 2030. A gap in services before the new funding cycle begins would result in patients being lost to care and overall reduced access to hepatitis C treatment. Due to the specific circumstances of this procurement and the unique qualifications of the selected firm/entity, a competitive procurement was not feasible in this instance.
