CRER #C000555 X2: NYS Helen Hayes Hospital EMR System Maintenance

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law §163.10(b), the New York State Department of (DOH) is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible.

The New York State Office of the State Comptroller’s Bureau of Contracts on 05/13/26 approved a request for exemption from giving notice to the New York State Contract Reporter for the ERM System Maintenance from Medical Information Technology, Inc. Meditech will provide ongoing maintenance, technical support, and software updates for the existing Meditech information system, a cloud based electronic medical record (EMR) system. These services will ensure the continued functionality and stability of the hospital’s financial, clinical, and administrative operations.

Due to the specific circumstances of this procurement and the unique qualifications of the selected firm/entity, a competitive procurement was not feasible in this instance.
