CRER #C033859 Single Source Procurement: Knowledge Builders, Inc.

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law §163.10(b), the New York State Department of (DOH) is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible.

The New York State Office of the State Comptroller’s Bureau of Contracts on 02/27/2026 approved a request for exemption from giving notice in the New York State Contract Reporter for the Nursing Home Centralized Compliant Intake Staffing Services from Knowledge Builders, Inc.

This contract places high level professional medical staff in New York State Department of Health (DOH) Regional Offices to support compliant intake activities for Nursing Homes and quality assurance and survey activities for Nursing Homes.

This extension allows DOH to retain one staff during the transition period to a new contract procured through request for Proposals #20337.

Due to the specific circumstances of this procurement and the unique qualifications of the selected firm/entity, a competitive procurement was not feasible in this instance.
