CRER #C042453 Single Source Procurement: Janus Liquid Handler

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law §163.10(b), the New York State Department of (DOH) is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible.

The Wadsworth Center Division of Genetics Newborn Screening Program uses a Janus Liquid Handler to screen New York State newborns for life threatening conditions. The New York State Office of the State Comptroller’s Bureau of Contracts on January 15, 2026, approved a request for exemption from competitively with Janus Liquid Handler from Revvity Health Sciences, Inc.

Due to the specific circumstances of this procurement and the unique qualifications of the selected firm/entity, a competitive procurement was not feasible in this instance.
