CRER #C043112 NYC Summer Food Service Program
Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health NYC Summer Food Service Program has determined to award a Single Source Procurement to one grantee.
The NYS Department of Health has received single source approval to contract with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene for the period 101/1/2026-9/30/2031 for continued implementation of the Summer Food Service Program. The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene will be responsible for conducting inspections of summer feeding sites and providing training to the food handlers of the summer feeding sites. This program is designed to provide nutritious meals to children during the summer months when school is not in session.
Due to the specific circumstances of this procurement and the unique qualifications of the selected firm/entity, a competitive procurement was not feasible in this instance.
