F-SHRP Extension and HEAL

The extension of the F-SHRP waiver through March 31, 2014, adds two and one-half years to the waiver's original expiration date of September 30, 2011. F-SHRP funds will therefore continue to be available throughout this period to complement State funds supporting HEAL contracts awarded to hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and other organizations under the original waiver, and to match any new HEAL awards that may be made during the 30-month extension. Department staff will shortly send letters to all HEAL awardees with existing or pending contracts advising them of what steps they need to take, if any, to ensure continuation of their contracts after September 30, 2011.
