COVID-19 Extension of Medicaid Coverage

Dear MLTC Health Plan Administrators:
As indicated below, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (Act) and existing federal regulations provide that individual covered by Medicaid as of March 18, 2020, will not lose Medicaid coverage. As a result, DOH will be extending all Medicaid active cases and MMC plan enrollment for members with coverage end dates in March, April, May, or June, except for case closings due to client request, moving out of state, or death.
Under this extension of coverage only members that move out of state or that request to be disenrolled, may be disenrolled from plans through June 30, 2020. All other members may not be disenrolled. Under these provisions, plan-initiated involuntary disenrollment´s, except where the member has moved out of state, will not be processed during this time Period.
