New York Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program

Through the NY Medicaid EHR Incentive Program, eligible professionals (EPs) and eligible hospitals (EHs) in New York who adopted, implemented, or upgraded certified EHR technology (CEHRT), and subsequently became meaningful users of CEHRT, could qualify for and receive financial incentives.

CMS is dedicated to improving interoperability and patients´ access to health information. On April 24, 2018, to better reflect this focus, CMS announced the renaming of the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program to the Promoting Interoperability Program. It is important to note that the NY Medicaid EHR Incentive Program was a part of the CMS Promoting Interoperability Program but continued to operate under the current name - NY Medicaid EHR Incentive Program - until the close of the program on December 31st, 2021.

Announcements

Program Close

The NY Medicaid EHR Incentive Program has closed as of December 31st, 2021. Access to program specific sites such as MEIPASS and the Meaningful Use Registration for Public Health (MURPH) system have been removed, and the phone lines for our program support team have been disconnected. No new information will be added to this site, but many resources will remain available for providers for reference and for informational purposes in the case of Post-Payment Audit. We have also maintained an archive of content from past years of the program if needed.

We thank all eligible professionals and hospitals for their participation over the years. Your efforts have made a positive contribution to the healthcare landscape of New York as a whole, and we hope that the technology you have acquired will continue to serve you and your patients well in the coming years.
