Work Group Mission

• This work group will review the cost of malpractice coverage, including identification of significant cost drivers of coverage and review the available data, insurance and otherwise, about the costs of malpractice.
• This work group will develop recommendations to:
  • Reduce the cost of coverage for providers,
  • Improve health care quality and patient safety,
  • Control the costs of health care for the State's Medicaid program and other participants in the delivery system.
