Process for Filling Vacancies
Vacancies resulting from a Council member's resignation shall be filled with candidates that meet the requirements of Council membership as provided in PHL 4361.
There are four vacancies at this time, all of them belong to the Speaker of the Assembly as the appointing authority. If you are interested in presenting a candidate for the Assembly appointment, please reach out to the Speaker at Speaker@nyassembly.gov.
