User Tips
Users will come to the Community Health Assessment Clearinghouse for different reasons. We have tried to identify the tasks you have within your organization, and accordingly selected the content. You may be:
- Working with board member or legislators on policy issues including assessments;
- Coordinating or overseeing the assessment process;
- Focusing on locating or collecting data, analysis and interpretation; or
- Assisting with completing sections of the assessment;
Community Health Assessment Clearinghouse is organized under five major areas - Data, How-To Guide, Examples, Links and About Us. If you have a question or request please contact us by sending an email to phiginfo@health.state.ny.us. You may choose to join a listserv, an electronic discussion group, to participate in a dialogue on issues related to assessment.

- Guides process planners and coordinators charged with conducting an assessment through a 10-step process.
- Suggests tools and strategies thatcan be used during different parts of the process
