NYS Department of Health AIDS Institute Drug User Health promotes Ending the Epidemic Goals by striving to facilitate access to quality, stigma free, culturally competent local health care, prevention and harm reduction services for all New Yorkers who use drugs.
NYS Department of Health Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement (BNE) operates the NYS Prescription Monitoring Program. BNE is responsible for protecting public health by combating the illegal use and trafficking of prescription controlled substances.
NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) addresses the prevention, treatment and recovery needs of New Yorkers with drug, alcohol and/or gambling addictions.
