New York State supports contractors, programs and initiatives in order to expand the availability of comprehensive asthma control services and improve the quality of life for New Yorkers with asthma.
- NYS Department of Health Asthma Control Program Statewide Contractor
State funded contractor working towards reducing asthma burden in counties with high rates of asthma-related hospitalizations and emergency department visits. - Asthma Data and Statistics
Asthma statistics, asthma data dashboard and summary data to action reports for adults and children as well as managed care data related to asthma are available. - Children’s Environmental Health Centers of Excellence
Seven Children’s Environmental Health Centers of Excellence serve the state providing resources and updated information for pediatric environmental health. - NYS DOH Healthy Neighborhoods Program
Certain counties are funded by New York State's Center for Environmental Health to provide in-home assessments with the goal of reducing housing-related illnesses including housing hazards that could trigger asthma. - Legislative Activities related to Asthma in NYS Provides a search function to find New York State legislation that relates to addressing asthma.
