This is based on data of confirmed measles cases reported to the NYSDOH Communicable Disease Electronic Surveillance System (CDESS) for New York State residents, excluding New York City. Dashboards are updated on Tuesday each week and display cases through the prior Saturday. All data presented are preliminary and subject to change as case investigation remains ongoing.

*Note: Weekly totals are based on the following date hierarchy order in available dates: symptom date, diagnosis date, analysis date, report date, create date. For example, if symptom date was not available diagnosis date was used, if both were not available, analysis date was used etc.
