EP General Updates

EP Measures and Activities Selection Letters

  • The new letters will reflect changes that have been made to the previously distributed letters.
  • Partners should receive updated EP Measures and Activities Selection letters from the Independent Assessor (IA) by Friday, December 2nd.
  • Participants waiting for corrected letters should not delay DY1 EIP or EPP payments.
  • If your organization does not receive an updated letter by December 2nd, please contact the Supplemental Programs inbox: dsrip_ssp@health.ny.gov.

EIP Updates

EIP DY1/DY2 Underpayment Update

  • DOH continues to work with CMS on a set of January 2016 Equity Infrastructure Program (EIP) rate adjustments, which will close the gap between actual EIP Demonstration Year (DY)1 payments and expected EIP DY1 payments.
  • EIP rate adjustments are still pending CMS approval.
    • DOH will notify affected Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and Performing Provider Systems (PPS) once the rate adjustments are approved.
  • EIP funds in DY2 will continue to flow at the lower rate that was set in April 2015 until the January 2016 rate adjustment is approved.

Medicaid Accelerated eXchange (MAX) Update

  • The DY2 MAX Series (Targeting Avoidable Readmissions for High Utilizers) officially launched in November 2016 with workshops beginning in January and February 2017.
    • If have any questions regarding the program, please email MAX Series Manager, Joshua Sorin (jsorin@kpmg.com).
  • Train the Trainer (TTT) MAX Series Update
    • Workshop 1 launches in January (downstate) and February (upstate).
    • If you have any questions regarding the program, please email the MAX Series TTT Program Manager, Shireen Saxena (shireensaxena@kpmg.com).
  • If your PPS wants to use participation in the MAX or TTT Series as one of its EIP activities, please know that at least 2 staff members must participate in either training series

EIP DY2 Q2 Reporting

  • DY2 Quarter 2 (Q2) ended September 30, 2016. If PPS elected to report quarterly or semiannually, reports for the period should have been sent to the listed entity at the appropriate email address noted below.
  • The IA will be performing an audit of submissions. If you have not submitted your reports already, please do so as soon as possible.
