Implementation of New Social Adult Day Care Certification Process - UPDATE

This policy document serves as update to MLTC Policy 15.01, which was issued on May 8, 2015.
MLTC Policy 15.01 announced the new Certification process for Social Adult Day Care (SADC) entities that contract with Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plans.
MLTC Policy 15.01 directed SADC entities with existing contracts with a MLTC plan to complete the Certification within 30 days.
The 30 day deadline has been extended to June 30, 2015
Therefore, for those SADC entities that currently contract with a MLTC plan, a Certification must be completed for each SADC site by June 30, 2015.
For SADC entities that are new and/or are not yet contracting with a MLTC plan, Certification may be completed at any time.
Certification is required to be completed on annual basis, twelve (12) months after prior Certification.
