New York State Immunization Advisory Council (NYS IAC)

The New York State Immunization Advisory Council (NYS IAC) is a nine-member advisory council established by Chapter 521 of the Laws of 1994 to review and make recommendations for improving immunization coverage and access in NYS.

Membership

The Council consists of 9 designees appointed by the Governor and Legislature. 3 members are to be appointed by the governor, 2 members appointed by the majority leaders of the Senate and House, 1 member appointed by minority leaders of Senate and House. Members must be chosen from provider organizations, vaccine developers and manufacturers, insurers, public health officials, consumer advocates and consumers.
