Academic Partnerships with the Office of Public Health

The New York State Department of Health’s (NYSDOH) Office of Public Health is devoted to expanding and strengthening partnerships with academic partners to develop career pathways to New York’s state and local health departments. Building relationships with schools, colleges, workforce programs, career and technical education programs, and other interested organizations is central to their efforts to increase the size and diversity of the public health workforce. It also ensures a skilled and competent workforce through collaboration on curriculum design and training. These efforts are supported with funding from the Center for Disease Control's Public Health Infrastructure Grant.
