Vital Statistics Data for Research Studies

The New York State Department of Health may release Vital Statistics data to individuals and organizations, in accordance with New York State Public Health Law. Requests may be made for aggregate or identifiable data. Aggregate data are data obtained by combining like data in a manner that excludes the identification of the individual described in the data. Identifiable data are any item, collection, or grouping of data that makes the individual or organization supplying it, or described in it, identifiable.
