Health Home Care Managers and Children's HCBS Providers,
The State is pleased to announce the release of additional policies to support Children's Waiver Home and Community Bases Services (HCBS). On the next page is a list of policies, release dates, effective dates, and applicable parties - Health Homes Serving Children (HHSC)/Care Management Agencies (CMAs), HCBS Providers, or both.
It is expected that policies and procedures that apply to your agency/organization are implemented in time to meet the effective date. At the time of future care reviews, audits, and re-designations; Health Homes, Care Management Agencies, and HCBS Providers will have to demonstrate that they have implemented these policies and procedures and ensure proper staff training.
The NYS DOH is providing webinars that will be recorded and posted to the NYS DOH website that may be utilized to meet the training requirement, however, agencies/organizations should consider how to supplement and support staff to the various requirements.
