Farmers' Market Nutrition Program
What is FMNP?
The Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) provides coupons to women, infants and children through the Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) and to seniors through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). FMNP coupons are used to purchase locally grown, fresh fruits and vegetables at farmer's markets during the summer and fall. FMNP also provides nutrition education in a variety of settings. The program runs from June 1 - November 30.

Importance of Fruits and Vegetables
Most fruits and vegetables are naturally low in calories and provide essential nutrients and dietary fiber. They may also play a role in preventing certain chronic diseases. The Dietary Guidelines recommend filling half your plate with colorful fruits and vegetables at each meal.
