SPARCS Compliance Knowledge Center and Ticketing System
The SPARCS Compliance Program has transitioned to a new ticket-based system to enhance the ability to track and respond to inquiries. The SPARCS Compliance page has two components, the Knowledge Center and a ticketing system. The Knowledge Center holds frequently asked questions and articles regarding SPARCS submissions and compliance. The ticketing system allows for general SPARCS policy questions or requests to receive compliance exceptions and extensions.Starting 11/5/2025, all compliance requests (exception and extension requests, non-compliance notices, questions about deadlines, etc.) must be submitted through the SPARCS Compliance ticketing system. This new SPARCS Compliance ticketing system does not replace the Optum Help Desk (877-545-0011) for SPARCS Portal support, technical issues, or claim rejection reports. New facility onboarding, submitter provisioning, and changes in SPARCS contacts or coordinators must still be requested via email to sparcs.submissions@health.ny.gov.. Requests for SPARCS data for research are handled through a separate ticketing system that can be accessed here .

Note: These reports should not be used for public reporting of counts related to understanding hospital inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and ambulatory surgery admissions/visits. For public reporting needs for counts by facility, please visit the SPARCS Release website at https://sparcssupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us.
