Introduction

  • Remember to check the New York Medicaid Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Homepage for updates
    • Updated Technical Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) were posted on July 2nd
    • Updated Program FAQs were posted the week of July 6th
    • EVV Applicable Billing Codes
      • The purpose of this document is to inform Medicaid providers of the Personal Care Services (PCS) and associated billing codes that are subject to Federal and State Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements
    • All Technical Assistance Call PowerPoints are posted to the website

Technical Updates

Pilot Testing

  • NYSDOH has begun testing the Electronic Visit Verification API with a select number of testers
  • We are still asking Providers (who plan on submitting EVV data themselves) and Manager Care Organizations to reach out if they are interested in testing
  • Additional EVV data submitters will be asked to test in early fall

EVV Interface Control Document

  • An updated ICD has been posted here
  • This is not the final ICD, additional changes will be incorporated
    • NYSDOH may make changes to the ICD based on feedback from the Pilot Testers
    • Changes will be discussed on upcoming TA calls
